The Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (COE) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) are executing a study and workshop in San Diego, 27-30 July 2009. The study and workshop will examine how technology can be used to provide capable solutions and foster resilient communities within a comprehensive and orderly framework. The combination of technological solutions and an effective framework is considered key to guiding U.S. foreign assistance in humanitarian aid, disaster response, and long-term sustainable development.

Conference details:
 
Registration will be open: 0900 to 1800 on Monday, 27 July and 0700 to 0800 on Tuesday, 28 July.
 
There is no registration fee and all meals will be provided by COE at the Se San Diego Hotel.
 
The room charge at the Sé San Diego will be $147 per night. By registering for the conference through our Web site, a room is automatically reserved for you and your bill may be paid upon check-out.
